More than 18 people including 6 children are sick after drinking contaminated water

An incident in which 18 people fell ill after drinking contaminated water took place in Karikyala village of Aurad taluk of the district.

In Karikyala village of Aurad taluk of Bidar district, sewage water mixed with the water well today. It is said that more than 18 people, including 6 children, have become ill due to the fact that this water was allowed to drink.

People who fell ill after drinking contaminated water are being admitted to Aurad Taluk Hospital and are being treated. People are said to have escaped from danger.

District Collector Govinda Reddy visited the hospital and inquired about the welfare of the patients. Meanwhile, a team of health department officials visited the village and conducted an inspection.
